Jonathan Macias was hired as Assistant 县经理 on February 13, 2022. Macias oversees and supports the following County departments: 动物控制, Engineering & 道路、设施 & 公园、火 & Emergency 服务, 舰队, Information Technology, 内部审计人员, 喷气机机场, Public Information, 公用事业公司, 战略计划, and special projects. 

Macias began his career, at UTEP where he oversaw millions of dollars in research funding through the Office of Research and Sponsored项目. Prior to joining the County, he served as Executive Vice President of Incite Consultancy where he created and implemented external funding strategies for local governments and organizations across the country.

Before becoming Assistant 县经理, Macias served as the County's Grants Manager, overseeing more than $16 million in Emergency 租金al Assistance funds and $42 million in American 救援 Plan Act funding. 

Macias received a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at El Paso and holds a master's degree from Adams State University.

Deborah Weir was hired as Assistant 县经理 on February 27, 2023. She oversees and supports the following departments: 动物控制, Finance, 健康 & 人类服务, 人力资源, Finance and Public Information. Weir will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of county policies, 预算管理, and day-to-day operations. She will also provide leadership and strategic direction to County staff and collaborate with department heads to enhance service delivery to the community.

Weir has over 25 years of experience in human resources before becoming an assistant county manager. She served as the Director of 人力资源 for Doña安娜县 for 12 years. 

Weir holds a master’s degree in Public 政府 from Kent State University, a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Michigan State University and SHRM-SCP (Society of Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional) and SPHR certifications (Senior Professional in 人力资源).
